Paul Doherty Consulting is the business name under which Paul Doherty and colleagues provide a range of developmental and facilitative supports for organisations in the not-for-profit and state sectors in Ireland and overseas.
Paul has extensive experience in the fields of training, groupwork, organisational development, project development, practice leadership, executive management, coaching, conflict mediation, research, and academic teaching.
Paul has held a number of senior practice and executive leadership roles – as Training Officer with Gloucestershire Health Education Services, as Programme Development Facilitator with the United Mission to Nepal Surkhet Project, as Nepal Country Director with Oxfam UK/Ireland, as Local Development Programme Manager with Avondhu Development Group, as Director of The Social and Health Education Project (SHEP), as Leadership Development Manager with Genio, and as CEO of SlĂ Eile.
Paul also has many years’ experience of delivering independent consulting services through Transformation Consultants, The Right Bus Consultancy, and Paul Doherty Consulting to organisations operating in a wide array of sectors, including personal development, local development, community development, community health, international development, disability, mental health, homelessness, education, youth work, childcare, and community arts.
Paul is an accredited practitioner with the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland, the European Institute for Workplace Dynamics, and the iOpener Institute. He is also a Registered General Nurse. His doctoral research was focused on participatory governance in not-for-profit organisations.
